Replies within 2–3 business days. If you're writing about a recipe, paste the recipe link — every calculator here puts the whole recipe in the URL, so that one link tells us exactly what you're looking at.

Not an emergency service

If lye has contacted skin or eyes, flush with running water and get medical help now — don't wait on an email. If someone has reacted badly to soap you made, that's a question for a doctor.

Found a mistake?

Tell us and we'll fix it fast, with a note on the page saying what changed. If a lye weight here disagrees with another calculator, we genuinely want to know — sometimes the difference is an assumption (NaOH purity, KOH at 90%) and sometimes it's a bug, and either way the answer belongs on the page.

Soapmaking questions are welcome

Ask away. We can't diagnose a batch we can't see — a photo and the recipe link get us most of the way — and the questions we're asked most become the next guides on the site, so a good question helps everyone.

What we don't do

No sponsored posts, no paid placement, no guest-post link swaps. We also don't write custom formulations, sign off cosmetic safety assessments, or advise on whether your labels are compliant — those are jobs for a qualified assessor where you sell.
